Running Dinner

Running Dinner … a Finnish tradition? We don’t know 😉 What we do know is that it was fun! This was another ESN event. We (that was a group of 4 students altogether) got a schedule with addresses and contact numbers. Our task was to be there on time and eat 🙂 Easy, right?

At the first place (6 pm) we met two Finnish law students, who served some starters. In particular that was some of these little sticks with a combination of little metaballs,  cheese, grapes, tomato and cucumber as well as Karelian Pies wit egg butter.

At the second place (7 pm), that was just around the corner, we also found two Finnish law students, who served salmon soup. Pretty good, actually. O, and some wine and a shot of some liquer. Well, and milk to the meal 🙂 Business as usual one might say regarding the milk 😉 Yeah, and we finished the bottle of liqueur that we actually opened at the first place.

Last we went to a place (8 pm) where there were actually three TSE students (yes, actually people who study at the same school we do). They presented us with Finnish oven pancake. You eat it with some marmelade and lots of whipped cream 🙂 And we thought it might be good to bring something as well, wherefore everyone had a cup of a rather stong hot wine.

For the two of us the evening ended at about 10 pm, because of an exam we ‘wanted’ to take the next day. In a way that was okay though, because we were really tired and probably a bit too much alcohol?
